My sisters and I treated my parents to a weekend in San Antonio for their 50th Anniversary. It was with their kids, kids-in-law and grandkids. It was a great time!!
My family is not big on having their pics posted on a blog, so I will respect that and stick to pics I found on Google.
My sisters families and my parents got into San Antonio on Thursday night. On Friday they went to the Alamo and took a riverboat tour. Craig and I had to work due to taking so much vacation time for our honeymoon and the kids Spring Break, so we didn't get in until Friday night.
We stayed at La Mansion Del Rio on the Riverwalk.
Our room pretty much looked like this. We had a balcony over the street and got to listen to buses, loud weekenders and a street cleaner. Not to mention our neighbors...who were apparently on their Honeymoon.
On Saturday we met up with everyone as they were eating brunch here...
We gathered in the lobby when we were ready to hit the town. I did a quick photoshoot with Ashlyn and Maren on this staircase. Those two love to pose for the camera!!
We left the hotel here and crossed this bridge.
You can almost see the step I slipped and fell to the ground on. Flip Flops and wet, slick rocks do not go well together. Trust me! I have a huge blood blister on my toe!
After going to a Mission, the kids really wanted to go swimming. We all trooped back to the hotel. The kids got into bathing suits and the adults all gathered around some tables.
It was just like Pensacola. I was so glad Craig got to be a part of his first non-holiday Olsen Gathering. We all just talked, read, did a few crosswords puzzles and enjoyed ourselves. My family can be very relaxing!
To the right of this picture I totally slipped and fell again. I was a klutz this weekend!
After the pool we went back to our rooms to change for dinner. We gathered again in my parents rooms where my Dad gave a champagne toast. He even had Sprite for the kids.
(I actually took this picture in Hawaii)
We then took a shuttle to Ruth's Chris for a good steak dinner.
We took a few pictures on this staircase.
